Patrick Singletary, DVM

Dr. Patrick Singletary grew up in Hendersonville, North Carolina and knew from an early age that he wanted to become a veterinarian. A proud "Double Dawg," he earned both his undergraduate and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from the University of Georgia. During his time at UGA, he served in several leadership roles, including President of Alpha Gamma Rho, President of Omicron Theta Sigma, and President of the Veterinary Business Management Association, experiences that helped shape both his leadership philosophy and his vision for veterinary medicine.

After graduation, Dr. Singletary developed a strong clinical interest in complex internal medicine cases, diagnostic ultrasound, oral surgery, and soft tissue surgery. Beyond practicing medicine, however, he recognized an opportunity to create a different kind of veterinary experience, one built around exceptional medicine, meaningful client relationships, and a calmer, lower-stress environment designed specifically for dogs.

Together with his wife, Natalie, he founded Good Dog Veterinary Care with the goal of reimagining what a veterinary visit could feel like for both dogs and the families who love them. Today, as Medical Director, Dr. Singletary leads the hospital's medical standards, mentors the veterinary team, collaborates on complex cases across all locations, and helps ensure every patient receives the highest standard of care.

Although he no longer sees patients on a daily basis, Dr. Singletary remains actively involved in the medical care provided throughout the practice. He works closely with the Good Dog veterinarians, offering guidance on challenging cases, supporting clinical decision-making, and helping the team continually advance through education, collaboration, and evidence-based medicine. His commitment to veterinary education extends beyond Good Dog Veterinary Care, and he has been invited to speak at continuing education and professional development events, including the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine Annual Conference, the VetSouth Fall Veterinary Conference, and programs for the UGA and Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine Veterinary Business Management Associations.

His philosophy is simple:
