Patricia Wetherly, DVM

Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and raised in East Cobb, Dr. Patricia Wetherly developed her passion for veterinary medicine through her grandfather, a veterinarian whose stories inspired her from an early age. Throughout veterinary school, she carried a small dog figurine he gave her, a meaningful reminder of the profession she had always dreamed of pursuing.

A proud "Double Dawg," Dr. Wetherly earned both her Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a minor in Spanish, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia. Today, she is proud to care for dogs at Good Dog Veterinary Care West Cobb, serving the same community that helped shape her journey.

Her primary professional interest is diagnostic ultrasound. She also enjoys soft tissue surgery and parasitology, an area she explored through five years of hands-on experience working in a parasitology laboratory during both her undergraduate and veterinary education. She enjoys combining advanced diagnostics with personalized treatment plans to help dogs receive timely, effective care.

Dr. Wetherly has completed advanced training in abdominal ultrasound and echocardiography and continues expanding her knowledge through continuing education in ultrasound and dermatology.

Her approach to veterinary medicine is centered on building strong relationships with both dogs and their families.
