Growing up in Canton, Georgia, Dr. Madison Alvey was inspired by her father, Chris Alvey, whopracticed veterinary medicine for more than 30 years. Watching the impact he made on dogsand the families who loved them helped shape her own passion for veterinary medicine from anearly age.

Dr. Alvey earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Health before receiving her Doctor ofVeterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia. Today, she serves as LeadVeterinarian at Good Dog Veterinary Care East Cobb, where she is dedicated to helping dogslive long, healthy, and comfortable lives through preventive care, advanced diagnostics,dentistry, surgery, and personalized treatment plans.

Her primary professional interest is cardiology and cardiac diagnostics. Over the past severalyears, she has completed extensive continuing education focused on echocardiography andabdominal ultrasound, completing more than 90 hours of advanced training. She enjoys helpingfamilies better understand complex medical conditions and guiding them through treatmentdecisions with clarity and compassion.

Dr. Alvey has experience performing and interpreting echocardiograms, EKGs, Holtermonitoring studies, and abdominal ultrasounds. She particularly enjoys using advanceddiagnostic tools to identify underlying conditions early and develop treatment plans that improveboth quality of life and long-term outcomes.

In addition to her interest in cardiology, Dr. Alvey enjoys dentistry, soft tissue surgery,ophthalmology, diagnostic imaging, and preventive medicine. She has a special appreciation forhelping medically complex patients receive the care they need safely and comfortably, includingpatients requiring dental procedures alongside management of underlying cardiac conditions.Her approach to veterinary medicine is centered on building strong relationships with both dogsand their families.
