Dr. Greer Pratt has always had a deep love for animals. At just nine years old, she spent a day shadowing her family's veterinarian and instantly knew she had found her calling. From that moment on, she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian.
She earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Science before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. During veterinary school, she gained hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals, including the Leatherback Sea Turtle, the largest sea turtle in the world. Today, she serves as Lead Veterinarian at Good Dog Veterinary Care West Cobb, where she is dedicated to helping dogs live long, healthy, and comfortable lives through preventive care, dentistry, surgery, diagnostic imaging, and personalized treatment plans.
Her primary professional interest is dentistry. She also enjoys dermatology, soft tissue surgery, and diagnostic ultrasound. Dr. Pratt has completed advanced ultrasound training and enjoys incorporating diagnostic ultrasound into her medical approach when appropriate.
Her approach to veterinary medicine is centered on building strong relationships with both dogs and their families.
"I believe every dog benefits from having a strong healthcare team, which includes both the veterinary team and the family who loves them."
For Dr. Pratt, veterinary medicine is built on prevention and trust. She enjoys working closely with families to help dogs stay healthy through every stage of life, believing that the best outcomes come from a strong partnership between the veterinary team and the people who love each Good Dog.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Pratt enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and needlepointing. She and her husband love exploring with their yellow Labrador Retriever, River, who is happiest anywhere there's water.
